In case anyone was wondering, Rocket Ship St John is influenced by naval cutaway drawings like the ones below. My (and I suspect most people’s) first encounter with this type of drawing was in high school when they showed us some of the horrific drawings of how slaves were packed into the hold. That was kind of seared into my memory, so that’s an influence too, but “futuristic slave ship” is not what I was going for.
